Annette Bickford earned her BA (Anthropology, Psychology, Archaeology), and MA (Social/Cultural Anthropology) from the University of Toronto, and her PhD (Sociology) from York University. She is interested in ethnography, visual media (representation) and cultural and equity studies. She has just completed a book manuscript on race and American patriotism.
